IFRSA: Tax issues being investigated
Financial Services Regulator Liam O’Reilly said investigations were ongoing into certain tax and deal allocation issues which arose in the late 1980s to mid 1990s.
He was speaking after the announcement by AIB today that the bank would pay €34.2m in refunds to customers because of over-charging in foreign exchange and other transactions.
