The AIB has confirmed that it will be paying €34.2m in refunds to customers because of the over-charging scandal that emerged earlier this year.

The AIB has confirmed that it will be paying €34.2m in refunds to customers because of the over-charging scandal that emerged earlier this year.

The bank said today that initial inquiries had found that it over-charged foreign exchange customers by €26.1m.
