Six packages containing mass cards and a mystery white powder have been sent to the members of the SDLP and the headquarters of the North’s Policing Board.

The letters were sent to the offices of SDLP leader Mark Durkan and the home of assembly member Pat Ramsey.

The packages are believed to be part of a campaign of intimidation by dissident republicans against nationalists who support the PSNI.

Mr Durkan said he and his colleagues would not be deterred by the campaign.
