Burglary gang beat pensioner with wheelbrace

A 69-year-old man sustained head injuries after he was beaten with a wheelbrace in what police described as a vicious and frenzied attack in Belfast earlier today.

The incident happened at William Alexander Park in the south of the city when four men arrived in a car, kicked in the door to the victim’s home and forced their way inside.
