A man was recovering in hospital today after a shooting incident in Dublin’s North Inner City.

A man was recovering in hospital today after a shooting incident in Dublin’s North Inner City.

The 26-year-old was shot in the shoulder at a house in Croke Park Villas in Ballybough at 11pm last night.

The attacker escaped on a bicycle.

A woman and two children who were in the house were not harmed.

The man was brought to the Mater Hospital, where his injuries were not said to be life-threatening.

Gardaí were not ruling out a gangland connection to the shooting.

“We are investigating all possibilities,” said a spokeswoman.
