One killed in Cavan road accident

A male motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident in Co Cavan.

The incident occurred at about 7.15pm yesterday evening when he collided with a tractor between Cootehill and Drung.

The man, believed to be in his thirties and from the area, died at the scene.

The driver of the tractor was later taken to hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
