Loyalists to continue protest blockades in Belfast

Loyalist protestors have said they will continue their twice-daily blockades of the Catholic estate of Ligoniel in north Belfast.

The Orange Order is believed to be planning a further series of road blockades on Monday evening after the main July 12 demonstration in Belfast.

The Order has not yet publicly stated what its plans are, but Sinn Féin's Eoin O'Broin said that he believes it is planning to try to use the threat of violence to overturn a Parades Commission ruling, which partially re-routed a march at Ardoyne.
