Working group to examine practices in housing market

Justice Minister Michael McDowell has established a working group to examine practices within the estate agent and auctioneering professions.

Reports this morning said the group would examine unrealistic property guide prices, the level of estate agents’ fees and the practice of “gazumping” before making recommendations for new legislation.
