Two men killed in separate road accidents

Two men have died in separate road accidents in Co Galway and Co Longford this morning.

The most recent accident happened at around 3.30am, when a 20-year-old man died after the car he was travelling in struck a tree in Belclare, near Tuam, Co Galway.

Two other men were also hospitalised after the crash.

Three hours earlier, a man in his 60s died when the car he was driving was in collision with another vehicle in Ballinalee, Co Longford.

Gardaí are withholding the names of both victims until all next of kin have been informed.
