Funeral of missing teen takes place today

The funeral will take place this morning of 13-year-old Jamie Farrelly Maughan, whose body was found on Friday evening after she was missing for almost a week.

Her remains were removed from Cavan General Hospital to the town’s Cathedral last night.

A post-mortem had been carried out, by Deputy State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster, but gardaí say results are not expected for some days.
