Unions decide against strike action

Unions representing workers at ESB have decided not to take any escalatory action as part of their pay dispute with the semi-state company.

The unions met this morning to discuss the possibility of taking strike action in pursuit of an 18.5% pay rise and an increased shareholding in the company.
