Abuse victim urges others to speak out

The 23-year-old victim of a Cork man who was yesterday found guilty of abusing her 10 years ago has told the Evening Echo that she now feels that her life can begin.

She said that she hadn’t told anybody about her ordeal until about two years ago, and urged other people who have been abused to come forward.
