Ahern praised for handling of EU presidency

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has been praised in the Dáil for his handling of Ireland’s presidency of the European Union.

Mr Ahern received a round of applause from all TDs after reading a 17-page report on the EU presidency into the Dáil record.
