Missing girl found safe and well

An 11-year-old girl at the centre of a major search operation was found safe and well late last night, after being missing for three days .

Gardaí said Catherine O’Driscoll, a member of the travelling community, from Crookstown, Co Cork, would be interviewed to establish her whereabouts since she was last seen at her campsite home on Friday night.

Concern for the girl had grown because it was believed she might have accepted a lift in a car from a point near her home.

No other details about where she was found were available from gardaí.
