About 30,000 people have turned out in Cork city centre this afternoon to witness this year's Redbull Soapbox race.

The "Crazy Babies" in a pram won first prize to claim a trip to the Brazilian Grand Prix, while the second fastest team were the Lawn Boys, driving a larger than life lawnmower.

Both teams are from Wexford, while the Ducks from Mallow scooped third prize in the race down Patrick's Hill.
