Bertie Ahern and Tony Blair will hold talks with Northern Ireland’s political leaders next week, it was announced tonight.
The Taoiseach and the Prime Minister will meet party leaders at Lancaster House in London next Friday.
The talks are the latest stage in the review of the Good Friday Agreement.
In a statement Downing Street said: “The purpose of the meetings is to review and assess the situation in the peace process with the parties before the summer break and to explore further the basis for a way forward.
“The review of the agreement will in the meantime continue next Monday and Tuesday.”
