CSO reports strong first-quarter employment growth

Employment in Ireland grew by 2.9% in the 12 months to the end of March this year, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The CSO said almost 1.84 million people were in employment in the first quarter of this year, an increase of more than 52,000 over the figures for the same period last year.
