Independent candidate and disability rights campaigner Kathy Sinnott has won the third and final seat in the European Parliament elections in the South constituency.

Independent candidate and disability rights campaigner Kathy Sinnott has won the third and final seat in the European Parliament elections in the South constituency.

Ms Sinnott was elected after the sixth count with 120,600 votes, compared to 87,000 for Fianna Fáil’s Gerry Collins.
