Badly-burned body found on Derry wasteland

Police in the North have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a badly-burned body on wasteland in Co Derry last night.

The body was found at the rear of a Masonic Hall on Linenhall Street in Limavady.

The remains were so badly charred that police are still unsure if the dead person was a man or a woman.

The PSNI has asked anybody who may have noticed anything suspicious near the scene of the discovery to contact detectives investigating the case.
