McGuinness in stunning election victory
TV personality and political newcomer Mairéad McGuinness has amazed pundits with a huge majority in the East constituency in the European elections.
A further surprise has come in the shape of Avril Doyle beating FF’s Liam Aylward into third place.
Counting at the East constituency has been adjourned until 10am.
