New MEP line up expected for Ireland East

Unlike yesterday in the locals, Sinn Féin and the independents will not be making all the runnings for the European Parliament seats in Ireland East.

According to the tallies it will be a complete new line up in the new parliament, with Mairead McGuinness of Fine Gael set to top the poll and Labour's Peter Cassells will also take a seat.
