Dublin taxi driver in hospital after assault

A Dublin taxi driver is in a serious condition in hospital after he was assaulted outside a public house in the early hours of the morning.

The man was discovered outside the Sheaf of Wheat pub in Coolock just before 4am today with what are described as very serious injuries to his face.
