Two killed in Roscommon crash

A six-year-old boy and a man in his 30s have been killed in a road accident in Co Roscommon.

The incident happened at Caldra Cross on the main Boyle to Roscommon Road at around 2.30pm.

Two vehicles collided, resulting in the two fatalities and a number of injuries.

Four people have been taken to Roscommon General Hospital.

The deceased were travelling in the same car.
