SF to challenge sanctions in wake of IMC's report

Sinn Féin has lodged papers in the High Court in Belfast challenging the Northern Secretary’s decision to take sanctions against the party in the wake of the International Monitoring Commission (IMC) report.

Sinn Féin has lodged papers in the High Court in Belfast challenging the Northern Secretary’s decision to take sanctions against the party in the wake of the International Monitoring Commission (IMC) report.

The party has claimed that the IMC report was flawed and inaccurate.

It has based the action on its belief that the legislation establishing the Commission is in breach of the European Convention of Human Rights and that it operates outside the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.
