ICCL director claims moral victory for 'No' campaign
The director of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties has claimed the "No" camp has won the moral argument surrounding the citizenship referendum.
Speaking at the launch of the Women’s Council’s campaign, Aisling Reidy, director of the ICCL, said the arguments of the referendum’s opponents had been consistent, unlike those of the "Yes" camp.
“There has not been one single civic voice, people who represent women or children or human rights or migrants or society, who has come out and called for this referendum,” she said.
