Women's Council opposes referendum
The National Women’s Council has called for a "No" vote in the upcoming citizenship referendum.
The council said it believed non-national women were being used as scapegoats to explain shortcomings in Irish maternity services.
Joanna McMinn, a director of the Women’s Council, said this was disingenuous.
“It’s quite clear from the records that beds are being cut and the maternity services have been under-resourced for a long time,” she said.
