Sinn Féin has accused the Government of arranging the citizenship referendum to deflect from its failure on health and housing issues.

The party, which is campaigning for a ‘no’ vote, said the Fianna Fáil-Progressive Democrats coalition was using the referendum to deflect debate from the real issues in the local and European elections.
