A family of seven has escaped injury in a bomb attack on their home in east Belfast early this morning.

The man, woman and five children were inside the house in the Glenlea Park area of Knocknagoney when a device was thrown at the front door at around 12.30am.

The door was extensively damaged in the attack, which may have been linked to an ongoing feud between the UVF and LVF in Belfast.
