The National Disability Authority has called on the Government to carry out a survey of the needs of disabled people in Ireland.

The National Disability Authority has called on the Government to carry out a survey of the needs of disabled people in Ireland.

The organisation said the Disabilities Commission had recommended such a survey eight years ago, but the recommendation had been ignored.

It said the date collected would provide a more accurate picture of what services are required to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
