World Cardiac Conference taking place in Dublin

The 8th World Cardiac Conference is taking place in Dublin this week.

Delegates at the meeting are due to discuss ways to lower rates of heart disease by recommending lifestyle changes that could minimise the risk of contracting the illness.

Speaking ahead of the conference, Professor John Horgan, a cardiologist at Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital, said smoking and drinking were among the leading causes of heart diseases.
