Safer roads 'not benefiting lawyers'

A leading Irish road safety campaigner today criticised challenges to legislation that contributes to declining road accident figures.

Eddie Shaw, chairman of Ireland’s National Safety Council, was speaking after one of the worst weekends for deaths on the roads this year, with 10 people dying on both sides of the border.
