PSNI investigate overnight Belfast bomb attack
The PSNI are investigating a bomb attack at a house in East Belfast overnight.
It is understood that a substantial device was left on the doorstep of house in Broomfield Court, which exploded in the early hours of the morning.
Two houses were extensively damaged as a result of the blast and one man was treated for shock at the scene.
Police say the device is not thought to be a pipe bomb.
The scene is being preserved for examination later today.
