SIPTU members at Independent Newspapers have voted in favour of industrial action over the company’s plan to shed 205 jobs as part of restructuring programme.

SIPTU members at Independent Newspapers have voted in favour of industrial action over the company’s plan to shed 205 jobs as part of restructuring programme.

SIPTU said the company was describing the plan as a voluntary redundancy scheme, but was telling the workers they would be sacked if they did not accept the packages on offer.
