Pedestrian killed in Limerick hit-and-run

A pedestrian in his early 40s died in a hit-and-run incident in Kilmallock, Co Limerick, overnight.

The victim was struck by a car on Brewery Road just before midnight.

Gardaí are searching for the driver of the vehicle, who failed to remain at the scene.

The dead man’s name is also being withheld until all next of kin are informed.
