Five Enforcement Orders were served by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland last month due to breaches of food safety, it was revealed today.

Five Enforcement Orders were served by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland last month due to breaches of food safety, it was revealed today.

The orders bring the total number of Enforcement Orders issued this year to 21 - 18 Closure Orders, two Improvement Orders and one Prohibition Order.

Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) in the Mid Western Health Board served a Closure Order on Crawfords Shop (delicatessen and store areas only), Main Street, Roscrea, Tipperary.

EHOs in the Northern Area Health Board served a Closure Order on the Pak Asian Market, 15 Talbot Street, Dublin 1 and EHOs in the Midland Health Board served a Closure Order on Sunrise, 20 J K L Street, Edenderry, Co Offaly.

Closure Orders are served when it is deemed, upon inspection, that there is, or is likely to be, a grave and immediate danger to public health.

EHOs in the South Western Area Health Board served an Improvement Order on the Earl of Kildare Hotel, 47 Kildare Street, Dublin 2 and a Prohibition Order was served by EHOs in the South Eastern Health Board on Martin Doyle & Sons Ltd, 1 Court Street, Enniscorthy, Wexford.
