Young man killed as his car hits Monaghan bridge

A man died when his car hit a bridge in Co Monaghan in the early hours of this morning.

The accident happened at 2.55am near Corcaghan.

No other vehicle was involved.

The 19-year-old driver was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí in Monaghan are investigating the incident.
