Gardaí question man over death of 12-year-old

Gardaí have detained a man in connection with the death of a 12-year-old boy in South Dublin.

The man, who is thought to be in his 40s, was arrested last night and will be questioned at Shankhill garda station this morning.

Twelve-year-old Andrew Carroll died at his family home in Bayview Rise, in Killiney.

A post mortem is due to be carried out this morning and gardaí will complete a technical examination of the scene this afternoon.
