The number of deaths on Ireland’s roads so far this year is 28% higher than in the same period last year, according to figures released today by the National Safety Council.

The number of deaths on Ireland’s roads so far this year is 28% higher than in the same period last year, according to figures released today by the National Safety Council.

The council said 124 people had died in road accidents since January 1, compared to 97 in the same period last year.
