Study shows alcohol misuse a bigger problem than drugs

A new study has shown that twice as many people are treated for alcohol misuse than for drug misuse in the Southern and South Eastern Health Board areas.

In some areas, 40% of those reporting problem alcohol use were treated previously, indicating that it is a chronic health problem.
