50% of tourists come to Ireland for heritage

The Chairman of Heritage Island, Cartan Finnegan, has said there is a need to refocus tourism marketing on Ireland's heritage.

Mr Finnegan has said over 50% of all our visitors name heritage and culture as their main reason for coming here.
