Tribunal shown photo of Ahern on day of 'meeting'
The Mahon Tribunal has been shown a photograph of a Dublin man with the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in 1989 on the day Tom Gilmartin claims a controversial Leinster House meeting took place.
Con Hackett told the tribunal he was presented with a safety certificate at a function in Glasnevin at 5pm on February 1, 1989.
The photo gives Mr Ahern an alibi for the time and date, which Mr Gilmartin believes the meeting took place.
Mr Gilmartin had said he was introduced to then Taoiseach Charles Haughey and the 1989 cabinet on either February 1 or February 2, 1989.
Mr Ahern has already told the tribunal that a casual "chit-chat" meeting could have taken place, but he has no recollection of it.
