SIPTU nurses meet in Killarney
SIPTU has expressed its support for the Government’s planned reform of the health service.
However, the union has also expressed concern its members in the nursing profession may have to carry out more duties when junior doctors’ working hours are reduced in line with EU directives.
SIPTU's nursing branch is due to meet in Killarney later today to discuss its readiness to meet the challenges posed by the reform of the health service and the reduction in junior doctors’ working hours.
