Kenny makes a stand on emergency healthcare

Fine Gael says local hospitals must keep their Accident and Emergency departments.

In the leader’s address to the 72nd Fine Gael Árd Fheis last night, Enda Kenny said that 24-hour emergency care must be retained.

Proposals were also heard for a Garda Organised Crime Unit and a special scheme to help first time house buyers save for a deposit with the Government giving equal contributions, in the same manner as the SSIAs.
