Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams says that nationalists in Belfast are beside themselves with rage at the Taoiseach's support for the Independent Monitoring Commission's report which recommends fining Sinn Féin because of continuing IRA violence.

He says he will meet Bertie Ahern on Monday and pass on his views that the Irish Government is putting its electoral fortunes before the future of the peace process.
