€773m allocated for housing projects

Junior Minister Noel Ahern has announced that €773m will be allocated towards local authority housing projects this year.

Mr Ahern said €706m of the money would be spent on the construction of council housing, €25m on the improvement of existing houses and €44m on Traveller accommodation projects.
