Wyeth gives $500,000 to Barretstown Gang
US pharmaceutical firm Wyeth has announced plans to donate $500,000 (€421,000) to a project for sick children in Co Kildare.
The company, which employs 3,000 people in Ireland, said the money would be donated to the Barretstown Gang project over the next five years.
More than 10,000 children suffering from cancer and other serious illnesses have visited Barretstown since it was founded by acting legend Paul Newman 10 years ago.
