Obesity-related illnesses costing Ireland €200m annually

A meeting of healthcare professionals in Dublin has heard that the growing problem of obesity is costing Ireland an estimated €200m every year.

The meeting heard that the treatment of diseases caused by obesity was taking up around 6% of the annual healthcare budget.
