An organisation representing the mentally handicapped has accused the Government of deliberately delaying the publication of new disabilities legislation until after the June elections.

Namhi claimed the Fianna Fáil-Progressive Democrats coalition was withholding the legislation until after the local and European elections for fear of a negative reaction from the public.
