Progress on stray horse problem

The Government believes it is getting on top of the long-standing traffic hazard caused by horses wandering uncontrolled along busy roads.

For decades, straying horses have presented a particular menace on highways in urban areas of Ireland. But now, according to junior agriculture minister Liam Aylward, the authorities are successfully reining in the problem.
