Traffic congestion named public enemy number one

Traffic congestion is public enemy number one, according to the Small Firms Association.

Small businesses, commuters and consumers are bracing themselves for a weekend of traffic chaos across Ireland as the Easter holiday begins.

According to the SFA, the country's gridlock is now costing business hundreds of millions of euro annually, as goods and people are stranded each day.

SFA Director Pat Delaney says our inadequate public transport system is eroding competitiveness.
